(dis)orientation MAG
two seconds.
you broke my heart,
i broke yours.
i don't know why
i grabbed my car keys
and fled;
away
from your static stare,
and our common
subtleties
away from
a summer of
convoluted thoughts
frosted flakes
meteor showers
and hidden playlists.
i melted into your
vigilante blue,
your easy eyes
and solemn demons
as light as air,
heavier than water.
i couldn't think
couldn't breathe
so i saw you
and ran.
two seconds.
i allowed myself
one and a half:
a blink.
(i can't answer your questions)
a skidding thump.
(i don't know what to say to you)
(i can't find the words)
(for once in my life)
one second.
i went looking
for your eyes
and found my heart
instead.
