the rose.
The rain pelted her face, her tears ran with it down her drenched body. She took that first step, that step to recovery. The street was dark, the only light was the dim glow of the street post, cars zoomed past her on either side, like a comet flying through the sky. She takes another step, tears flowing as she felt her skin tighten against the bruises and scars that marked her twig of a body. She fell to the ground, the memories surrounding her like a demon of her past, she lay there in the middle of the street until the rain fell dry, memories swarming her, leaving her to wither up and die, the rose that was touched.
