Out of Reach
Two evenings ago as she slept with peace
Her mind drifted towards a wishful being
Blurred but visible, the dream would not cease
There he stood--her eyes turned disbelieving
His smile engulfed she who stood astound
Eyes met eyes
Emeralds resembling diamonds left her dazed
Mind questioned, she was suspicious of a guise
Stares remained fixated–never breaking
Frightened of disappearance, her mouth spoke
But no words formed, her body was shaking
For the mystery man vanished as smoke
Standing with grief-- a hole bored in her chest
The one she longed for had left her possessed
