Butterflies I like
We walked to the top of the hill and back.
Hand in hand, this was new.
Neither of us knew what to do.
That's when I got them butterflies.
My mommy would've killed me if she knew.
And that gave me butterflies too,
but not like the ones I get when I'm with you.
Today we walked to the top of the hill, again.
I tell you, it's a walk that never gets old.
We could walk a thousand miles-
I still get them butterflies,
the kind I like.
This may be nothing more than teenage love,
but it's something I'll never forget of.
Because even the simple thought of you gives me them butterflies.
The butterflies I like.
