Best Friend?
I just wanted to apologize to you,
for becoming the person I swore I wouldn’t be.
I want to take the time to tell you;
Inside, I’m still the person you used to see.
But as you know, people change.
Things that used to fascinate me,
all of a sudden, became a strange.
I want you to know,
you’re still the only one who’s aware
of the things I’m afraid to show.
When I look at our old photographs,
I can’t help it but to laugh.
If I had it my way,
Things would be like those days.
I just wanted to apologize to you;
hopefully this is something we can get through.
I want to take the time to tell you,
you’re still me best friend.
