I Ran Away
I ran away from fate and the road that led me here;
I ran away from your voice that always called me dear.
I ran away from the mistakes that I made in time;
I ran away from me saying that I'm always fine.
I ran away from your eyes and how they used to gleam;
I ran away from the memories and every little dream.
I ran away from the road that led me straight to you;
I ran away from everyone that had to get a clue.
I ran away from your lies and everyone I believed;
Getting over you is what I must achieve.
I ran away from your house and were I used to go,
I ran away from the tears that I always allowed to flow.
I ran away from your life: the one we called our own;
I ran away from our childhood and how we have grown.
I ran away from your life, the one I cherished so;
I ran away from me feeling sad and lonely woe.
I'll run and run forever more until the day I die;
But never again for you will I ever cry.
