For Life
A friend,
Is like,
A window,
Being opened.
You finally,
Get to experience,
The world,
and life,
instead of,
staring at a
bland windowless wall.
Life,
Would be extinct,
And dull
Without her,
Like staring
At that wall.
Loneliness,
Would hover,
Like a cloud
Not doing anything
But sadness
And trouble.
She helps you,
Open the window
Alone,
But you know
You can’t,
Which is why
You’re so glad
She’s there
For life.

I read this one directly after "The End," and was relieved for the refreshing change. Again you have a talent for conveying different moods.
I was struck in this poem by your creative use of punctuation. It's not what I would have expected at first, but it made me think twice about the rhythm that you were feeling in your head when you wrote it.
