Love, Without a Name.
I had someone,
who I couldn’t go behind.
He had someone,
who he couldn’t go behind.
All we could do,
was hold each others hands,
but not even.
We could only entwine our fingers,
for fear of being caught,
was too strong.
Holding his face,
was going to far, but it was something,
that had to be done.
We were both immutably in love,
but we both knew we couldn’t,
be together.
He said “No.” and turned,
his head away.
I asked him “Why...
Why Not?...”
He looked at me and replied
“Because we both have loved ones,
who would be hurt…”
He was crying, and needed comfort,
But I could not give it.
It was time for us to move on,
And say our goodbyes.
We separated our love,
Knowing we would never meet again.
After everything that has happened,
I never once heard his name,
Nor did he, hear mine.
