Here it comes
I was in another lifetime,
one of porcelain lips,
when mirrors were my saviour
I wore famine on my hips.
I turned around to face myself
and saw a creature without home.
Drawing near, another daytime
for me to call my own.
On that silver-eyed morning
I set free my darkest dove
and left the earth my morals
set forth to find new love.
I killed the past in bleeding smoke
and laughter, dirty clothes.
Drawing near, another daytime
for me to call my own.
I was tousled through the starlight
by the ages, frowned upon.
I lit one last velvet candle,
it was time to carry myself on.
In this world of black-pierced fluorescent light,
and gilded men, fighting to rome,
here comes another daytime
for me to call my own.
