Baby girl
The finest dresses in every color
To the two piece bathing suits in the summer
The curls and bows on the peak of the head
To the straight narrow path that she chooses to instead
Innocent dimples placed on her cheek
She washes them away with worries and fears
From her first laugh to her first heart break
The cry’s in the night as time quickly passes by
Lost within she comes to your side
You tell her you’re there along for the ride
The girl with the dimples and her old teddy bear
You whisper consoles for only her to hear
She smiles and listens remembering times
As you both start to cry
Laughter erupts as the crying fades
And the tide washes quickly away
For the sun it yet to come out again after today.
