The Eternal Sea
The sea roars like a pride of lions, Foamy white manes whipping in the wind, Sprinting forward with claws ready, Endlessly chasing the shore. I watch the pursuit from my window Until the muted sun descends To kiss the cheek of the earth And I am enveloped in a liquid black But the restless sea does not end its crashing, Determined pounding of the shore, Resounding in the core of the earth, Ceaseless, like the pulse of a body.
