"I am vain, just like when a rose thorn draws blood from a human,worthless"

She is sick of everything,-
mostly life.
Endless cuts up to her elbows,depression-
its dark and lonely.

Life seemed great before;happy-
now took a wrong turn of life-
spiraling down.

Nobody notices she is depressed-
everything feeling fake each day.
Her life surrounded with people-
but who actually cares.

Who'd thought the cheerleading captain-
would want to take her own life.
She gets ready for her final act,
writing notes to loved ones-
her last good-byes.

Her cell phone rings right before,
she can put that belt around her neck.
Three simple words,change everything-
I Love You.

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this poem is that each day a lot of teens do attempt suicide,and that most of them do have good IQ's and are people you wouldn't think would commit suicide.

i think thats what inspired me,

i never had suicidal thoughts ever,but i put myself in their mind and i was able to write this

This is amazing. It is sadly true, that so many teens think they are worthless. If each person got a text like that, so many souls would be saved.
