Stranded
Faces pass and stare
For them, enough to get a glance,
But for me, simply a whirl of colors
Their voices assault me
High and unpleasant,
Sharp and cutting
Snaking though my thoughts
Taking over my mind
They whisper.
I hear it even though I’m not meant to
Or maybe I am.
Which ever one is worse, I’m sure
Some don’t think like that,
I’m generalizing far too much
Trust me, I know.
But how can I stop
How can I help it,
When all they do is pass and stare,
Whispering as they walk away
Leaving me alone
Stranded
