Beyond Migraines
Thoughts and visions
From beyond migraines-
It’s almost pleasant
Were it not for the pain.
Floating on a misty sea,
Endless as the abyss;
Blocking out the sights and sounds,
Could be all I need is this.
Colors shine too brightly,
Music hums so loud,
But none of it will reach
As I lie up on my cloud.
Searing down the edges,
Ripping up my spine,
Tearing through my sanity
With razors oh so fine.
Raw and ripe
And fresh as Hell—
The drawstring pressure
Of agony’s spell.
