Generations"
Is black an emotion?
Is blank an action?
Are colors really what separate man?
The world is divided,
But is social status made by clothes or skin?
I see the faces of this generation,
I feel no unity, but separation,
We live in one world and on one earth,
Yet we are apart and labeled,
By country, type, clothes, and skin,
A country made with many races,
And this is where segregation takes place,
In schools and homes everywhere,
Is love an emotion?
Is truth an action,
Is this really what’s at hand,
The people have sided,
But only the simple minded,
Decide whether this is what we are,
We’ve come so far to turn and kindle,
This new burning fire,
The unity had dwindled,
To a messy desire,
This is how we separated man.
