In the End
So frail and helpless,
He begins to deteriorate.
White with age, knowing the end is near.
As the breaths come forth,
“We’re trying” is all they say,
Until the end.
No smell of death,
He was lying there,
Maybe things will be more successful.
Willingly,
His lips move
But its too late.
If the drugs could be given sooner,
The uncertainty would not be
Shining like the morning sun.
Drug after drug failed.
Her eyes knew, but her heart did not want to let go,
Now nothing except life surrounds him.
