Looking Forward
Looking forward to the next hour, next day
And only then will I again look farther still
Another four years
Another ten
I can’t wait for tomorrow
And of today? I’ve already spent the time
Waiting yesterday, thinking about how great
Today was going to be.
It’s been okay.
But it’s okay.
I’ve got tomorrow, and the next day.
Just thinking about it gives me tingles in my feet.
What can I accomplish?
How can I spend my time?
Today is always spent planning for tomorrow
And yesterday has already blown long by.
