Seasons
Bring me a sunrise,
And bind the rays of east
To my eyes that set west,
And let the night fall on me
Follow me,
And sing me the song of the fallen leaves,
Of exquisite and tumbling,
With crimson patterns and gold sleeves,
Fall with me,
And dance for snowflaking muse
Of wintry and cheated suns
Wonderlands sulking without you.
Winter my heart,
And call for trees of green,
With splendor unfrosting
And rebounding into spring.
Spring over my thoughts
And flourish my laughs,
Of sultry, beading sweat
That’ll bring summer back.
Summer over winter,
And spring into fall,
My seasons changing
All after all.
Blankets of old
And seasons of new
Home isn’t quite home..
If it doesn’t have you.
