Untitled (until I think of something clever)
Society speaks in snaps and taps
incandescent green lights-charging
lighting up our mechanical world.
White ash covers our skin the residue
of burning dreams and knowledge
long forgotten in abbreviation.
And the click clack snip snap of fingers
tap-tapping away time.
The world is spinning but the gravity
of our actions has not caught up
to pull us back down.
People in the dark ages are blinded by the light
that threatens to break down their courage
to resist the flashing, blinking temptation
of losing meaning in life.
