Comfortable Darkness
Comfortable darkness
In the dark it’s okay
In the dark
No one thinks twice
As long as the light are off
There is no shame or shyness
There is only comfort and peace
I can be a pillow with the lights off
I can be a chair
I can support you, on me, to show that I care
In the dark you can rest on me
You’ll hold me in your arms
Together we can sit for hours without stop
As long as no one can see
We can sit here together
But not in the light
When the switch is flipped
You jump away
We can’t sit in the light
Not when others can see
Never when it’s obvious
Then we are apart
There is one good thing
The lights never stay on
They always go back off
And when they do
We move back together
Comfortable again
Here we can sit
Comfortably
You on me
But only in the dark
