If you had been there,
I wouldn’t be this way,
This mass of darkness living alone,
The only flaw in your perfect life
If you had been there,
I wouldn’t have died so much inside,
I would have actually had a smile on my face,
And life would be something precious.
If you had been there,
Even if you never returned my love,
I wouldn’t have complained,
Cause love is something special,
You don’t have to say it to know it’s there,
If you had been there,
I would have been there too,
And maybe I wouldn’t have left so early.
Because you were never there,
I murdered all of the happiness inside me,
And left nothing but a dry husk.
