The Broken Road
I’m walking down a broken road
Waiting for the world to end
But time stops
When I travel on the broken road
So there is never a start
Or an end to it
I broke
Just like the broken road
1000 years ago
Breathing heavy staggered breaths
The only pain that showed
The heart I use to know
Stopped beating long ago
I’m nothing on this broken road
A fragile state of mind
Teetering on the edge
The vastness of space and time
My soul I know
Is the only thing I keep
On the broken road
Hiding from nothing
And nowhere left to go
So I keep on walking
Never stopping
On this broken road
That never ends
