A Daily Story
It’s the same old story,
Each day a new page.
Sometimes I wish I could change a word,
Sometimes a whole phrase.
If only I was given an eraser,
Or even a pen.
I’d rewrite the beginning,
Or maybe the end.
What would be changed first?
An action, or a word?
The knight,
Or his sword?
The question though is this,
“If you can change only one thing,
Would it change the whole story,
Or just a bee’s sting?”
Is it worth it?
Will it turn out good or bad?
Would it change what you have,
To what you had?
