Sound Waves
I’m pounding waves
Of sound atop one another,
Creating a doppler effect.
You can add them algebraically.
A musical sound is comprised
Of just the right number of frequencies.
A tuning fork has too little,
A crow’s caw too many.
I’m hoping it will resonate
And you will come back to me.
You know it’s possible
To cancel sound with more sound?
All it takes is a wave
With equal frequency
And opposite amplitude.
I’m waiting to create silence
From sound.
