Kyle's Yellow Oars
I first saw her drifting through the mystic breeze
A purple cape slouched down her back
and she sliced the air with her hands
like kayaks on the canal down the bend
Kyle's stomach was swollen to the size of a beach ball
after he was hit
and he died within three minutes
He floats now too through the mystic breeze
somewhere down the bend
past the streams aimless currents.
Where black oars leak water onto unsuspecting heads
in neon yellow canoes
that shine too bright to for passerby's to see.
