Imagination
Tell me little girl why do you laugh?
Tell me the funny joke the wind whispered in your ear,
Tell me of the battles you fought,
Of the pirates you met,
The friends you’ve made,
The love you felt.
Tell me what your imagination is telling you.
Tell me what you see.
Tell me of the time you fought along side the fierce pirates of olden days.
Of when you saved the prince from the fire breathing dragon and soon fell in love.
Tell me of the day you married the boy next door.
Of when you had your first child.
Tell me what you named that beautiful little boy,
Little girl,
Please share your gift of imagination with me,
So that I might be able to escape this world with you in a far off land,
So that we can fly together.
Tell me little girl why do you laugh.
