Love Like a Rose
We fell in love, like the bud of a rose.
How it came, no one knows.
Over time, we slowly bloomed.
We didn't see, that we were doomed.
Upon our flowers stem, there was a thorn.
And through our imperfection, distrust was born.
Slowly our colours, began to fade.
Our leaves drooping down, where our roots laid.
A shadow possessed us, beyond all mend.
And there our support, began to bend.
And now our petals, are dead and dry.
As they drop away, we haven't heart to say goodbye.
Our love has passed, like the life of a rose.
Where it went, no one knows.
