He Calls
He calls a name which is not mine;
He calls again and it’s the same thing both times;
I wonder if I should answer his curious call
But then again that would be an offense to this questioning man
I wait but he keeps on calling by a name I do not have;
I hate to see him wondering
But yet I do not answer his solemn call;
I am mute and stubborn;
I will not answer to a name which is not mine,
I wonder and wonder if this man knows that I am not her.
I am not his answer, I am not that name…
