The world is dark,
The fog lies low,
A rooster crows,
No.

I warm by the fire,
I stare at its glow,
No.

My mind is in a haze,
My brain is numb,
No.

The sun begins to rise,
The fog begins to clear,
A rooster crows,
I weep.

The author's comments:
This is a poem, from the eyes of Peter Jesus' desciple.
Matthew 26:75 Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: " Before the rooster crows twice, you will disown my three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Oh yes, I know this. I love the way you portrayed the denial, or the disowning, and the rhyme adds a lot to it. This is really good. :)
