Libra Bends for Pandora

Mountains of liquid
spilling
drowning fields on golden scales
Libra heaves a sigh.
The sky begins to
weep
but
it is the sun that cries
and the dark seepds from the salt.
Cotton becomes unspun
black beetles walk
from the fiber
sound strangles the living
and Death laughs at the absurd.
