The Waves of Life
The waves crash all around me
I feel the wind blow through my hair
Why cant anybody see
Beneath the smiles what’s really there
I hear the lies, the stories they tell
Making girls cry, ruining their life
Lies are what they believe that’s why they fell
Some girls just end the pain with a knife
They slit their wrists, watching the blood
while tears slide down their cheeks as they cry
Emotions mix in their heads like a flood
The pain makes them feel like they can fly
Darkness overwhelms their life
Only a few make it through the fight
So they put down the knife
Tears stop and hope is the first sight
It ruins you for the rest of your life
Thinking what if I did just die
What if I did use that knife
Your last breathe turns into a sigh
Who would care about you then?
All your friends turned on you
Now you’re left to fend
No one to say I love you too
They think you’re helpless
Or that you’re a freak
What they say is only a guess
No one knows what you really seek
You want someone to love you
Someone who cared
Someone you can run to
When you told them what you did they wouldn’t be scared
