Songs of the Wind
I dreamt away my sorrows last night,
the sun wasn't so dreary and dull.
The clouds were of the purest white,
and the sound of the leaves fueled my lull.
The greens were bright, the blues more so,
and problems just faded away.
And all the while the wind sang its songs,
and love and joy to all the day.
But when I woke, the smile faded,
and memory fell to my wrongs.
My dreams forgot this, clearly,
the wind only knows sad songs.
