I Wonder If You knew That
I was pushed to you by necessity,
by the fear of being alone,
by the fear of having no one else.
I wonder if you knew that.
I wonder if you knew that at first I didn't want to be around you,
you were different,
you were crazy,
you were everything that they weren't,
and that I thought I was.
I wonder if you knew that.
But then somehow you changed me,
you said things to me that they never said,
you talked to me about things that they never spoke about,
you told me things, that they never told me, and that I thought,
I wouldn't hear.
I wonder if you knew that.
Now, I sit and I look back on us,
how we become us,
and why we become us,
and I realize,
that,
to get to this point,
with you,
that I had to lose them.
Though they were all I ever know,
I realize that,
to get to this point,
of being me,
I had to lose who I though I was,
though that,
was all I knew.
And I can't help but
wonder,
if you knew that

I love your structure, seriously. On top of simple yet effective wording, those line breaks really worked for me. I enjoy dramatic line breaks.
(: Well done -- though I'm sure you hear that often
