Clapping my hands and tapping my toes,
As I sing along to my favorite song because,
Music is powerful and influential,

It inspires me and fires up my emotions,
It cheers me up when I am in a bad mood,
And it gives me a reason to get up and dance,

Music makes me happy and I always have a good time,
When listening to music with an infectious beat,
A powerful message with strong lyrics,
And a singer with a beautiful voice,
That you can’t help but smile when you hear it,

Music is an important form of self expression,
And when it is made with tons of emotion and passion,
It is almost as if you can see the musician’s soul,
Within each word and musical note in the song,

Some say that the eyes are the window to the soul,
Well, I say that music is the window to a singer’s soul,
And I always find myself savoring each song I listen to,
And hanging onto each lyric and note,
With every ounce of emotion and passion that I have,

Music is like a magnet,
That always finds its way into my ears,
With a forceful and energetic attraction,
That gets me up onto my feet,

When the strobe lights ignite a feeling of joy,
And crowds of people dance like nothing else matters,
That’s when I know I have to let loose,
And be as free as a jungle cat,
Without any constraints or limitations,
Just me and the music,
Dancing and singing until the very end,

When I listen to music,
My heart melts like ice cream on a hot summer day,
My fears vanish into thin air,
And everything else just fades into the background,
Because when I listen to music,
It’s so amazing that ,
I don’t know what to do with all my newfound joy,

Each new verse is a part of the story that is being told,
And the chorus or refrain is the main point to take away,
From the story that the singer is trying to convey,
Through singing,
Because music conveys the emotions,
We hide inside because we are too afraid to speak them,
So some people write,
Some people dance,
Some people paint or take snapshots of special moments,
And some people sing their emotions out,

Music is a way to cope with difficult situations,
Something to do when you are alone and bored,
And a way to heal when you are emotionally broken inside,
Something about it is just so addicting and hard to shake,
I can’t help but think that every song is a reflection of the artist’s heart,
Mirrors may reflect what is on the outside but they can’t reflect,
What you feel inside, the way that poetry and music can,
Music is something so incredible that it just makes me smile,
Inside and out.
