I Know Better
“Someday my prince will come”
I beg to differ
The dashing man on the horse is dead
Eaten by greed and consumed by pride
Hasn’t anyone noticed his true motive?
The dashing prince always randomly
“falls in love” with the “fairest maiden in the land”
Always
A little suspicious, no?
But the princess never cares
All she knows is that a gorgeous hero
Has come to “save” her from her “prison”
Has he, now?
The prince is evil
All he cares about is money
And looking good
So of course he needs a trophy wife
Do you get it now?
“Rapunzel, let down your hair”
Ha! I know better than that
But of course I smile and obey
The prince begins to climb
I take a pair of scissors, and…
Au revoir, my Prince
My hair was getting too long anyway
