Sparkle in My Eye
I put on a smile
to act like I’m strong in this fight,
but this fight is hurting me
more than anybody knows.
If you looked into my eyes
you wouldn’t see that usual shine.
That sparkle you put there
has disappeared.
I act like I’m fine so you don’t feel bad
about all this pain you caused me,
but at the same time I want you to feel terrible
about all this pain you caused me.
You seem happy
but maybe that’s just a show.
Maybe you are like me
more than you really know.
