Hourglass
Life is but an hourglass
Slipping away the years, months, days, hours,or minutes of our life.
We do not control how much sand is
contained within the glass
but we do know we must
cherish every grain that drops.
For we do not know when our last sand will fall.
Life is delicate, our choices can cause the glass to crack.
The sand will flow free letting life spill.
For most of the world, the hourglass will stay in one piece.
Death will be peaceful for most people on Earth.
The golden sand will sink into the bottom of the hourglass,
While our lifeless bodies fall to the ground.
Death may seem unfair,
but remember why it occurs.
When one hourglass ends,
another is flipped over to start.
Therefore a newborn opens its’ bright beautiful blue eyes for the first time.
