Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone.
For the sad old earth must borrow it's mirth,
But has trouble enough of its own.

For a while we're whole, I think
Then these things happen, these people happen
We give ourselves away, because it feels so good.
Bits and pieces.
Then they take them, because it feels so good,
and maybe they're tired of giving.
And when they leave us,
we wonder why we feel so empty.
So we run around looking, desperate
for any bits and pieces.
Maybe we'll find them

‎"I’m learning how to drown out the constant noise that is such an inseparable part of my life. I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I only have to follow my heart and concentrate on what I want to say to the world: I run my world." - Beyoncé

I like the meaning of this poem and I can relate to it in a way. Good job!

I like your insights into love, about how we give little pieces of ourselves to people who only end up breaking our hearts. Your grammar is excellent and the rhythm of your poem is good as well; I really see nothing wrong with this. Keep up the good work!

Really nice job! I could feel how you are talking about how we give ourselves to other people when we are in love, but when they break our hearts, they take a piece of yourself away somehow.

Keep up the great work!
