Ten Years Ago
Crashing bodies all around
Dust rising from the ground
Thick; with fear
Stinging eyes as they start to tear
Ten years ago
Ash covered like snow
My fate was sealed
As I kept eyes peeled
Fighting for days
Losing our ways
Our country is lost
So what is our cause?
Raise high your hand,
To make a stand?
Protect our land,
From the hostile sand?
Why am I here?
Sometimes I fear
I see these men
Not my family again
Ten years ago
Ash covered like snow
Bodies lined up by row
And now we all know
We won't return; we will
Remain in this hole
All from the attack
Ten years ago
I've seen many faces
I've shot many faces...
All from that day
Ten years ago
