Stand by my side when I cry.
Give me a hug
and tell me everything will be alright.
Don’t tell me I need to get over it,
or that I’m overreacting.
Just stand by my side.
I need you here for me right now,
but you want to be alone
so you tell me that I need to learn
how to face it on my own.
I don’t want to face this on my own.
I want you to hug me when I cry
and tell me that everything will be alright.
Don’t leave me behind.
Right now is the time when
I need you by my side.
