i thought you should know.
We love you and we miss you.
We wish to hug and kiss you.
We have faced our worst fears,
And now we want you here.
I still cry every day,
When I see pictures or hear your name.
It’s not easy getting up,
But I know it is what you would want.
It still feels like just yesterday I lost you.
One second you were there, I saw you.
Then you had to go.
It was so fast, you didn’t even know.
Family and friends comfort me on this day.
There all hard, but this one is impossible to face.
My heart is at its all-time low,
But I love you, I thought you should know.

A sweet ending. Very poetic and powerful. Liked the poem, but there are a few weak areas. Nothing a little tweaking won't fix. Great poem. Relatable to many. I lost a dear loved one recently, and I find this poem to be all too true. It's so hard to move on with your life. They show up in everything--a photo, a name, a memory through conversations.... Thanks for writing this.
