About to Sleep
As I lay down my head to sleep
Staring up at the dark ceiling
Smelling the light lavender fragrance
Dancing around my room,
I think about my day.
The wrong things I never should have said or done
And the things that I should have.
I think to myself
Tomorrow I will right the wrongs
And change it all.
I will find new friends to enjoy life with
And I will keep in touch with the ones I have.
I will kiss my brothers forehead
As he lies down to sleep.
I will be a better person
And make no regrets.
And then the next night
I say it all again.
