Monsters
It creeps beneath my skin and scratches to be free,
I keep it locked up so no one gets hurt
It hurts me, kills the me I use to be
It is the Monster
The on that hides…
Under your bed
And in your closet
If you’re lucky you wont get hurt
But if you’re not…
It takes over
Your body
Your mind
Your life
And the you that everybody knew is gone
It disappears into thin air never to be seen again
Your true love is lost because you’re scared to hurt him
You try to free the monster by letting its venom seep out of your veins
When you’re fast asleep and you’re having those beautiful happy dreams…
All of a sudden that monster creeps in and you dreams die and nightmares are born
They rip apart your mind, heart, and soul.
Your eyes open and you’re standing at the edge of a cliff
Thinking, “What have I done?”
Before you know it, your life is flashing before your eyes
You suddenly jerk awake as you fall to your death
But it’s not real, it never was
The monsters have attacked once more
:/
