A Good Story

At least I am wearing a rain jacket
So when the tears fall
They will not touch my skin
And I least I took off my mascara
So my face won’t be black
As rivers run down my cheeks
Thankfully I am tucked away
Where the gossips won’t see my pain
And fake concern, and kindness, and understanding
All for a good story…
A good story
That’s what I wish this was.
