The Girl You Used to Be
The mirror
My worst fear
She is staring back at me
A different person
A different girl
When did she get so far away from this world
She looks at me and smiles coyly like a child
She knows I wish I was her again
She knows that she has bigger plans
She tempts me with every look
Saying remember you were me
Looking like you came out of a book
So pretty and thin aren’t you dying to be here
Back to where you feel at home again
Back to when you never ate
When every day you watched your weight
Go lower and lower on scale
An addiction, going down a trail
So what if you’re sick, you know you’d rather be me
The girl looking back at you
The girl you used to be
