Thoughts
As I lay awake in my bed,
A thousand things run through my head.
The thought of loving you comes first,
The thought of you hating me is the worst.
Once in a while I sit and stare,
Off into space, and I really don’t care.
I think about the things we do,
And I always smile when I think about you.
You make laugh and it makes my day,
Doesn’t matter what you do or say.
One of these days I’ll tell you the truth,
I hope that we’ll still be in our youth.
I hope that you don’t make fun of me,
I hope together is where you want to be.
As I lay awake at night,
I hope that things will turn out right.
