a poem
A poem
What is a poem?
Is it just words that create rhythmic value
Or is it something that has meaning beyond literary texts?
With centuries of philosophers claiming to be poets and people sitting in Starbucks writing
So that everyone knows that they call themselves poets.
What truly is a poet?
IS it someone who can create that rhythmic value
Or could it be someone that recognizes that literary and reality aren’t always the same
For even a blind man with no knowledge can look at life through the eyes of a poet
And even an intellectual can look through life through the eyes of a blind man
It’s all perspective of the heart.
