Flies Away On Her Own Wings
If she was given wings,
She would fly away.
When she gets the wings of truth,
she'll fly along that path.
But when given the wings of wrong doings and hate,
I'm afraid that she'll never come back.
That's because she will fly,
Fly away on her own wings.
When given a choice,
She'd take a path that wasn't an option.
If given a choice,
No one else would agree.
Since she was given the choice,
She'll fly away,
Flies away on her own wings.
When given a problem,
She tosses them out the window.
If given the problem of the world,
She'd break under pressure.
If given the whole situation,
She'll fly away,
Flies away on her own wings.
When death is put before her,
She looks it in the eye.
When death threatens her,
She demands that her life isn't over.
When death screams for her to die already,
She would scream that she won't give up.
Even if death beat her to a pulp,
She would stand tall.
She'll fly away,
Fly away on her own wings.
When her love enfolds her,
She'll never want to push away.
If her love is close enough,
All else will be replaced.
Since her love is the only thing left that means anything to her,
She'll embrace herself in his arms.
If only her love would always be there,
but the only thing there, is not her love, it is her wings.
So she'll fly away,
Flies away on her own wings.
When people see her,
They think guardian angel.
If people see her,
She can't be compared to the finest rose.
But people aren't aloud to see her,
So she'll fly away,
Flies away on her own wings.
When sorrow rings her doorbell,
She tries to turn away.
If sorrow tries to dispose of her,
She'll deny that it's true.
Since sorrow is at her door,
She mourns the loss of the lost soul.
When she finds out it's me,
She tries to hide it but fails.
Sorrow wants to destroy her,
But she can't give in.
If, next, is you,
She'll probably cave in.
So since she can't deal with pain or sorrow,
She'll fly away,
Flies on her own wings.
