Find My Heart
Falling faster,
Gaining momentum in the wrong direction.
How do I pick myself up?
So ashamed,
Fire in my brain,
I'm just glad I haven't given up.
My heart, my pride, my passion,
Are all locked in an icy metal cage,
Just trying to protect and defend myself
Just ends in tears and rage.
It's not up to you to find me,
And pick me up,
Put me on my feet,
I'm depending too much on others,
And that's what makes me weak.
I have to find my heart,
I know I have one,
I know I'm strong and witty and sweet,
But now I feel wrong,
Feeling ugly and dirty,
I've got to find my heart
Before defeat and regret ruin me.
