Caged
Caged.
It’s dark and deserted,
With no one in sight.
As hard as I search,
I can find no light.
I turn in all directions,
As the fear creeps up on me.
I feel so empty.
And I’m left wishing I could remember the feeling of glee.
As I fall to my knees,
I’m reminded of the thrashing pain.
All I want, no, all I need,
Is for this monster to get out of my brain!
I’m claustrophobic in this cage,
Surrounded by so much.
I think I might explode,
With just the slightest touch.
